In plain terms: Edinburgh Private Tours earns a commission when you book a tour through links on this site, and it costs you nothing extra. 1. What an affiliate link is
Links and booking widgets on this site marked "Check Availability", "Book", "See All Tours" or similar are affiliate links to GetYourGuide. If you click one and complete a booking, GetYourGuide pays us a small commission as a referral fee.
2. It costs you nothing extra
The price you pay through our links is identical to booking directly with GetYourGuide. The commission comes out of the operator's or platform's margin, not your wallet.
3. We are not the tour operator
We are an independent editorial guide. We do not run the tours, take bookings, set prices, or handle payments — GetYourGuide and the individual tour operators do. Your booking contract, payment and cancellation terms are with them, and their terms (including free cancellation windows) apply.
4. Editorial independence
